Increase Traffic and Make Money With Google AdSense Part 2

So what about visits? What about SEO, and page rank and everything else?: You are right these things are important, but the key thing to remember is if no one, and I mean if no one finds your writing (content) useful, at some point, fairly quickly, there will be no traffic. Then it does not matter what you dream of-- it will not happen.
SEO is search engine optimization, and to me that not only means links but also what you give to the traffic that comes to your site, you want them to go away with the basics. There should be something for each reader. Again it can also be more advanced, and you should have links out there to experts as well as your own things. It increases your professionalism.
That is why hubpages does what it does, in other words allows us to vote up and down content. So, if your content is not good there is more of a chance that people will not find it useful or helpful, and will not come back to look at your other work. Also allowing comments is a valuable part, but telling people what they should and should not comment is a discourtesy to you and to others. I am of the mindset that if you say on a hub that you should not comment if you do not have anything nice to say, then this hub should not be published, you need to have a thick skin, we all know this... or at least I do. ( I have read many hubs which begin a very controversial subject and then says no comments which are against my view or seem to me to be belittling... that is asking for trouble)
Content is a must, again hubpages is not a blog nor is it a site where you post one hub and then let it be. It is an ends to a means, which is traffic and content.
Content, I got that, not a problem... but my problem is traffic: Often traffic comes in wave or comes and goes, Marisa Wright, a resident guru on hubpages said it best in her hubs, check out where you are getting your traffic and focus on these ( Sorry Marisa I can't recall which of your great hubs it was in... please advise!)
Content is a must, but when you have traffic then is the time to encourage it, and to keep it by adding links carefully and slowly, and do this each day. I was one who used to do this at a rather fast pace, but I have found that traffic which comes from the search engines needs more of a reason to stay when they have choice.
The other thing which is important is the idea that you will always have a few hubs which don't do all that well and a few hubs which do. Which links are you going to focus on?
For me, I would add some external links to the hubs which are getting great traffic over a long period of time, and then interlink inside that hub with other hubs which could use some help. In other words I find what works well, in terms of which older hubs are getting traffic and use the power of traffic to my advantage.
Now this will create traffic between your hubs, but there are a few other things which help. So I'll explain these now. SEO and links.

Increase Traffic and Make Money With Google AdSense

Make money with Google AdSense based on visits and quantity of hubs you have? What? I can hear it now, After having read some of my hubs on quality and quantity you might think I am asking you to write more hubs faster, in this case, no I am not I am asking you to think about you business on hubpages.
Yes, for those who don't believe that you have to do work on hubpages to get money from Google AdSense or other affiliate programs, you are not thinking like a business. You want something too quickly-- that is money, and it does not work that way. This is a business and you are in a business to be a professional no matter what you write. We all want to make money and visits (or traffic) is the only way to make money. That and not giving up after 5 months.
It takes for the most part about 4-8 months to make a payout from Google AdSense using hubpages, but there is more to it, the power of linking your hub both with your other hubs and to the bigger Internet community. If you want money you need visits or traffic.
But I Get Traffic! I am not making money... or when I do get a click from Google it is very little!: the fact of the matter is that some clicks are worth more clicks and some well, i am of the partial mindset that Google is a matter of luck. A click is a click is a click is not true all the time.
Of course, luck also is putting your self one step forward each day and keep on working in creating links and everything else. See, Google itself, form what I have read does like older more established websites and that would go for hubs as well. This can take a while, but you need to do the work. It is a long process, but as with anything worth while, it takes time to get traffic and money.
The idea to making money with Google AdSense is simple: Create Great content, find good keywords and then begin by building links to make some magic-- that magic is what most call page rank, a term which simply means that Google finds you hub, and you have enough credibility with that hub that it is found in the first page or better with many keyword combinations. (This means on one word keywords and long tail keywords -- multi-word keywords)
Of course this is Google at its most basic, and we all need a foundation to work with. Start with the basics and then keep learning.

100 Tips for Adsense Part 1

1. AdSense Earning = Impression-count x Click-through-rate x Cost-per-click x smart-pricing-factor.

2. Impression count is basically referring to your traffic. It means the number of times AdSense block is displayed.

3. Click-through-rate (CTR) is ratio of clicks per impressions. It can range from 0.1% to 30%, but most commonly around 1% to 10%.

4. Cost-per-click (CPC) is the earning you get per click. While traditionally it refers to the amount advertisers pay for each click, it can also mean the amount publishers get for each click.

5. Smart-pricing is AdSense method to determine how valuable clicks from your site are worth. If clicks on your site doesn’t provide good value to advertisers, e.g. from visitors’ geo-location that seldom translate to sales, you will only get a fraction of the supposed CPC.

6. Apply for AdSense account via blogger.com for faster approval.

7. Once you get your AdSense publisher code, you can put it any of your websites without requiring further approval.

8. Read and reread Google AdSense Program Policies and Terms and Conditions.

9. Don’t click on your own ads, or ask people to click, even if you are using proxies.

10. Don’t use click-bots.

11. Don’t encourage your visitors to click on ads. The only acceptable text is “Sponsored Links” and “Advertisements”.

12. Don’t put competitor contextual ads on the same page as your AdSense, for example: Yahoo Publisher Network, Clicksor. Non-contextual ads are ok.

13. Don’t put your ads on objectionable material, e.g. adult sites, gambling sites, mp3, etc.

14. Basically, don’t cheat AdSense. Google will catch you, sooner or later.

15. Viewing your own website will not get you banned. Just make sure you don’t click on the ads.

16. However, repeatedly reload your page to jack up page impressions can get you banned.

17. When in doubt don’t hesitate to contact the AdSense team. They are very helpful.

18. Choose a high paying niche without too much competition.

19. You can try highest paying keywords from cwire.org, but know before-hand that you’ll face very fierce competitions.

20. Use Overture Bid Tool and Search Engine Keyword Tool to find suitable keyword.
21. Consider signing-up for AdWords and create a mini campaign. It can help you to understand the working of AdSense.

22. Put your targeted-keyword on Page Title.

23. Repeat the keywords in your content.

24. Learn HTML.

25. Put emphasis around your keywords by using HTML tags like

…

,

…

, …,

26. Get domain name that contains your targeted keyword.

28. Submit your URL to search engines for crawling.

29. Create and submit your sitemaps to Google Sitemap (sitemap.xml) and Yahoo (urllist.txt)

30. Google is not the only search engine. Optimize for different engines as well. You are very likely to face less competition than in Google.

31. Invest for original fresh content. Write or pay for contents regularly.

32. Use copyscape.com to find content theft. You invest for your content. Don’t let it be taken by unscrupulous webmasters.

33. Article marketing is one of the best way to deliver traffic to your site. Write and submit articles to article-submission sites. Include short summary and hyperlinks to your website in the author information box.

34. Don’t use objectionable methods to draw visitors to your site; buying traffics, spyware, hidden-texts, page cloaking etc will get your AdSense account terminated.

35. New visitors have higher chance to click on the ads than regular visitors, thus higher CTR (click-through rate).

36. Regular visitors have higher chance to recommend your site to others.

37. Search engines are where most of your new visitors come from. Learn a bit about Search Engine Optimization, or pay people to do it. Doing it yourself will save yourself from troubles created by not-so-honorable SEO (Search Engine Optimizer).

38. Don’t create mirrors. These are sites with different URLs but same contents. It hurts search engine ranking.

5 Types of Comments That Attract Attention

Have you ever leave a comment in order hoping to get traffic from it? If yes, did it works? Some people leave comments to attract visitor, the others to get backlinks, but just a few who left comments for nothing, just a critic. Well, I will show you some types of comment that will attract attention of the visitor, at least they remember your name for a minute.

 1. The First Comment
This kind of comment absolutely get attention from the blog's owner itself, especially when they moderate all of the comments, just like me moderate your comment. And this kind of comment should get attention from readers who like to leave a comment, because this comment is at the first place, so they must read it, or at least see it.

2.  The Long (or Longest) Comment
If this kind of comment combined with the number 1, it will be absolutely perfect because there is no reason for readers to not see it. Maybe they wouldn't read this comment, but at least they will remember you as a smart and critical person. As you know, creating a long but stay-on-the-topic comment is kinda hard, and you should appreciate this kind of comment.

3.  The Asking Comment (The comment with question)
If you have a question about a blog post, then just ask it at the comment section. I was left a comment like this, and I got backlink from the blog because in the next post my question was showed up and the author gives me a backlink. They do this because question is one of the blog post ideas generator.

4. The Unique Comment
Take a look at the screenshot below.

The picture of the bear was made of symbols, funny, isn't it? This kind of comment will be more attract attention of you left it in the right blog, such as diary blog or gallery blog. I suggest you to not to leave this kind of comment in a serious blog, like forex blog. Credit goes to Remba, the owner of the comment.

5. The Comment that Gives Critics
Also, this kind of comment will get extra attention from the blog's owner itself, just like number 2, but with more attention. This kind of comment is good for your friendship with the blog's owner because critics or feedback is needed to make the blog better. Yes, I need your feedback too, so leave a comment here!

Highly Valued Adsense Paying Keywords

Max CPC - cost-per-click suggested by the tool to get first ad position on this keyword. This is a good estimation of what the highest cost per click is for the given keyword.

Avg CPC - average cost-per-click suggested by the tool for highest bidder. Because ads are rotated and bids are automatically lowered to match the next ad, this is the average cost than the highest bidder would pay for one click. This is a good estimation of your average cost for one click.

The CPC rates are guaranteed to be the same as returned by Google Adwords Traffic Estimator tool on the day of compilation; however, this tool is best used to estimate the best paying keywords when building your marketing plan. As the exact payment amounts are ever changing, but the higher paying keywords are fairly consistent. The top words on the list will generally pay more then the one on the bottom.
